Editing Spirits

Those that came before man. Manifestation of primordial will. Spawned of inanimate objects whose shared reflections in the Dark created a rootless consciousness. Spirits often tie themselves to physical locations in the material world as anchors that allow themselves to manifest. They can remain in shards of places and survive through great cataclysms that shape the land. 

Spirits absorb all that came into contact with the place they associate themselves with and shape a conscious through it. They may form bonds with other primordial beings and even humans. They can be both hostile and friendly to man, owning to the treatment they experience. Their power and reach through the Dark is attributed to the objects they claim as their domain.

Elder Spirits act as independent brokers of power whose sole desire is their own preservation. Lesser Spirits are often harnessed by seekers as conduits of power to be drawn upon in times of need.
