Welcome to a place where you may read and write all that is Schitzo.  Brace your mind for what is to come. Many evils lurk in the hearts of men that can only be banished with faith. The Psychiatrists could not help with their prescriptions and treatments because the problem was never of the material plane but of the mind. Don't listen to the voices inside your head. Don't let them in. These intrusive thoughts piercing your mind are not your own.
There is no authority above us to check our work against. The cults that could confirm any of this will not talk to us, and the ones that would talk to us are lying. What we have instead is each other: a few dozen people who have seen something, or think they have, writing it down where the others can argue with it.

Things from The Dark exist beyond our material realm. They claw at the edges of our minds. They are the blur at the corner of your eye that wishes to take you entirely in its grasp. They have many names and many forms in our minds. Our ancestors have imagined them since the beginning of time itself. They were Demons and Djinn, Spirits and Faeries, ghosts and gods. All they desire is a gateway to the material world - one which each of us possess - our mind.
So we do not ask you to believe this. We ask you to learn to read it. Every claim below carries a tag saying how far it should be trusted, and the most common tag by far is unverified. Where two accounts disagree, both are kept. Where an entry is thin, it says so rather than filling the space with confidence.

In this setting, the world exists as it does like in any other. However a major shift in our world is the mistaken analysis of the psyche. The mental suffering we endure originates from an outside source. It is an ethereal form which demands mortals to submit so it can be let in to the material plane. Only through surrendering to the voice we allow foreign entities to take a hold over our lives and carry their plans through us. Those inflicted in turn inflict trauma on others to make them more susceptible to those from The Dark.

Read this before anything else

Nothing on this wiki has been verified. That is not a defect of the wiki. It is a description of the subject.

There is no authority above us to check our work against. The cults that could confirm any of this will not talk to us, and the ones that would talk to us are lying. What we have instead is each other: a few dozen people who have seen something, or think they have, writing it down where the others can argue with it.

So we do not ask you to believe this. We ask you to learn to read it. Every claim below carries a tag saying how far it should be trusted, and the most common tag by far is unverified. Where two accounts disagree, both are kept. Where an entry is thin, it says so rather than filling the space with confidence.

A seeker who believes everything here dies. A seeker who believes nothing here never began. The work is in between, and the work is yours.

Welcome, seeker

Nothing makes sense anymore. It never made any sense to begin with. Welcome to a place where you may encounter everything that makes no sense. Many incomprehensible mysteries lurk in the hearts of men that can only be purified with the power of will. Medicine kills the will and quiets the intrusions, rendering the subject hollow and submissive. Others break in to our minds and implant themselves in it. Psychic Energy attracts them to targets unable to resist with their will.

Things from The Dark exist beyond our material realm. They claw at the edges of our minds. They are the blur at the corner of your eye that wishes to take you entirely in its grasp. They have many names and many forms in our minds. Our ancestors have encountered them since the beginning of time itself. They were Daemon and Djinn, Spirits and Succubus, Faeries and Phantoms, Ghosts and Gods. All they desire is a gateway to the material world — one which each of us possess — our mind.

In this setting, Psychiatry and Psychology fail to see the underlying source of human suffering: The Dark. Modern solutions for the mind quiet and soothe outsider voices and in turn entirely separate the psyche from its source. Soma severs the mind of an individual from The Dark entirely. These poor hollow creatures exist in the world in the never-ending pursuit of fulfillment, recognized by the Gnostics as Hylics. Others which inhabit The Dark find anchorage in our plane of existence through our psyche. They inhabit different aspects, ranging from spiritual (e.g. Gods) to sexual (e.g. Succubus) energy and manifest themselves through dominated individuals.

Those who seek out the Dark may do so through initiation to Cults of Knowledge. Those Seekers wish entry to an understanding of the Dark they cannot comprehend. Few attempt the journey on their own. They may grow powerful enough to gather a following and attempt their own mockery of one of the Elder Cults. Most fall to despair and madness, later to be cast aside to be devoured by the entities that are in the Dark — if they were not lucky enough to have been banished by society to the confines of a padded white cell, and fed until quiet.

You are reading this because someone in that position wrote it down instead.

How to read an entry

Every claim here is tagged. The tag is not decoration and it is not a rating of how interesting something is — it is a statement about where the claim came from and what it would take to check it.

Tag What it means when you see it
firsthand Someone claims they were there. Uncorroborated by definition — a seeker who survives an encounter is not thereby a reliable witness to it.
astroturf A claim that is made to look like many independent people arriving at the same conclusion, and is not. Manufactured human consensus — as distinct from synthetic?, which is text with no person behind it at all.
unverified The default state of everything here. Written down, passed on, never confirmed. Absence of this tag means nothing; assume it.
contested Two or more accounts survive and they do not agree. Both are recorded. Do not resolve the contradiction by deleting half of it.
leaked Taken from a cult, an agency or a private archive by someone without permission. Consider who benefited from you reading it.
defector Supplied by a former member of the body it describes. Detailed, bitter, and shaped by the leaving.
inherited Copied from an older tome or an older wiki by hands that did not understand it. Errors here are centuries deep.
⚠ warning Reading, repeating or attempting this has hurt people. The entry is kept because hiding it has also hurt people.
synthetic? Suspected of having been written by no one. Style without a source behind it. See The Pattern.

An untagged sentence is not a trusted sentence. It is a sentence nobody has gotten to yet. Treat it as unverified and, if you are able, tag it.

Two habits, and they are the whole method:

 • Read the claim before you read the tag. Judge what is being said on its own, then find out who is saying it. The other order teaches you to defer.
 • Follow the disagreements. Where an entry has a Competing accounts section, that section is the most valuable part of the page. Consensus on this wiki is a count of how many of us are guessing the same way.

The long version is at Help:Reading this wiki. Read it before you edit anything.

The sections

The Others

What lives in the Dark, what it wants from you, and why it cannot get it without you. Daemon, Djinn, Faeries, Skinwalkers, Spirits, Succubus, Phantoms, Ghosts, Egregore, Gods.

The practices

What seekers do, and what it costs. The one relationship in the field that runs in our favour. Harnessing, Concealment, Instrumentation, Dream Invasions, Remote Viewing, Third eye, Divination, Mind Divers, Psychic Energy.

The cults

Who else is in the Dark, organised, and better funded than you, and what each of them claims He left behind. CIA, Aryan Kult, Fabian Society, Elder Cults, Gnostics, Vatican, The Materialist Cult, Frankists, City of London, Golden Dawn, The Instructions, Operation Paperclip, Inoculation.

The body

The flesh you have to do this with, and the one thing both sides want. Pineal Gland, Vrill, Soma.

What it does to you

Why they come to some people and not others, and what it does. Affliction, Mind Shredding, Mind Rape, Hylics.

Seekers and their works

Seekers, King Terry, Temple Operating System.

The mundane world

What they call it when they have no word for the Dark. Psychiatry, Psychology.

The Long War

The newest section, and the one being fought now. What Others do to populations rather than to persons, and who is doing it deliberately. Public Opinion, Meme Wars, Fifth Generational Warfare, Iron Law of Cults, The Pattern.

The Remembered

The one section here that does not doubt what it says. People who made things for others and did not survive doing it. The Remembered.

If you are new

 1. Read The Dark, then Others, then Seekers. In that order. Everything else assumes those three.
 2. Read Help:Reading this wiki and learn the tags well enough to use them without looking.
 3. Read Daemon as an example of what a finished entry looks like. Most entries are not there yet.
 4. Read Inoculation once you have the rest. It explains why there are so few of us, and it is the entry most likely to be wrong in a way that flatters us.
 5. Do not attempt anything under Category:Practices because you read about it here. Everything in that section has hurt someone.
 6. Read Iron Law of Cults last, and read it about us. It is the entry that says what this wiki will become, and it was written by the people it accuses.
 7. Then read The Remembered, which is short, and which is the only page here that is not an argument.

We exist to document the mental struggles of the human race against its eternal darkness. We are not equipped to do that accurately. We are doing it anyway, in the open, with our errors left where you can find them.

How this entry was assembled
Drawn from: Personal accounts, board archives, three tomes we have not held ourselves, and one leak we cannot corroborate.
Compiled by: Everyone who has edited here. See the history of any page.
Known weaknesses: The framing on this page is ours. It is a story we tell to make a pile of contradictory reports feel like a body of knowledge. It may be exactly that and no more.
Wanted: Anyone who can read the Ferghana material in the original.
